Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) in partnership with ANDY through the Commonwealth Partnership for Democracy – CP4D seeks to foster greater engagement of PWDs in governance processes with a focus on three counties in Kenya namely Kakamega, Kisumu and Homa Bay.

An inception activity for the project was carried out through consultative meetings comprising of the project implementation team and key stakeholders from the three counties drawing representation from the secretariat of the County Assemblies, Members of County Assembly and disabled persons organizations.


 


DPO leaders, sensitization forums on the need for Coordinated Engagement in Governance Processes.

A Leaders’ training on understanding inclusion and how to engage with PWD and enhance their presentation roles.

MCAs’ Sensitization forums to raise the awareness of a representation of elected and nominated MCAs about the importance of inclusion in the legislative process.
